First Pickup - Great Success! 10/25

Today the team collected the first round of compostable kitchen scraps. Thank you so much to all of the households involved. Its only been half a week and the team have already collected 23.2 pounds of kitchen scraps! From here on out, the team will be collecting the compost bins every Wednesday to empty them. 

After picking up the bins from each household, the team brought them to the compost site - it is great for fitness as the team lugged the containers up a 70 foot hill! The scraps were added to the tumblers with the appropriate amount of brown material. The initial plan is to start the composing process in the tumblers.
