Mariam (center) has been composting her kitchen scraps for a few years, experimenting with different methods of composting.  Both Addison (left) and Noah (right) come from very environmentally conscious families and wanted to make a difference. When they heard the ILSA was offering their Composting 101 course for free for Connecticut residents, they jumped at the chance to learn more.  They completed the course, passed the final exam and felt fully equipped and motivated to start their own local composting initiative.
